Message Hello all...new to this forum, but I am not a newb to Zs or cars for that matter - I own a custom shop in Sacramento.

Did a search and could not find any answers to my specific questions...if they are out there, please accept my apology in advance.

Anyway, 1993 NA - "clunk" in between the lower gears, it disappears in the higher gears.

Jacked up the rear of the car, and tested the amount of play by spinning each wheel.

By placing a mark on the tire at the outer edge, I was able to determine that each wheel spins about 1/2" (based on that mark on the outer edge).

Questions:

1.) Does anyone have a frame of reference for how much play there should be?

2.) Does anyone know the correct amount of lash in the ring/pinion?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
